Women's Ministry

Thank you for your interest in our women’s activities and ministry. May I introduce myself?  My name is Linda Hall and I am Director of Women’s Ministries at New Life Worship Center in Rincon. How exciting it is to be a part of God’s working in the lives of women! It is my sincere desire that you will want to come and allow Him to be a vital part of your life and your family through His ministry here.

 

I was born and raised in Savannah and was a member of a local Southern Baptist church there for many years.  A deep grounding in the Word of God was offered to me from childhood. In the early 70’s while involved with a women’s bible study in a friend’s home I became familiar with parts of the bible I had not studied or considered before.  I discovered that God wanted to infuse me with His Holy Spirit and my life took on a depth I had not walked in, or even known was available, before that time.

 

He has healed so many areas of my life - body, soul, and spirit.  When my husband, Howard, and I allowed Jesus Christ to renew our marriage, it was, and is, the most healing and peace-producing gift I ever received.  Years of hurting each other and not knowing how to, or sometimes even wanting to, stop and attain the ‘oneness’ that God intends have been replaced by years of truly preferring each other over self. The love of God in us for each other prevents either one from taking advantage of this laying down of the other’s life.  Every marriage can experience this awesome togetherness after giving up the fight to be first, to be right, and to be served.  Strange…that is what we both got when we quit demanding it.

 

Our ladies’ group is named G-R-O-W;  an acronym for G-od R-enewing O-ur

W-omen.  Most meetings are held at the church on the second Thursday of each month.   The Spirit of God is evident in the praise and worship, the teachings and testimonies, and the fellowship following. 

We experience miraculous answers to prayer, basking in His presence during our praise and worship and reaping new understandings of His Word.  The Holy Spirit had united us into a close sisterhood that each one says she has not experienced anywhere else.  We give Him praise for this unity.

 

Our calendar also has days set aside for other gatherings.  One is a daylong ‘Day Break’ at my home in October.  We will begin with breakfast, ending our day in the afternoon, following lunch.  Some of our own ladies will be speaking and ministering there.  The one last year was so inspirational and so much fun that it seems to have become an annual event.  A shopping trip to the outlet mall in Bluffton, SC, evenings out for dining together, and a Christmas brunch are among extra events that we plan to enjoy this year.  We welcome you to join us for these meetings and outings.

 

My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will quicken each reader of this page to know how very much He loves you and that He has a wonderful plan for your life.  I hope we at New Life Worship Center are included in His plan to minister to you and your family.
